Reliability

In order to ensure that all LGWAY products can offer years of undisturbed operation all vehicles are designed following a scheme that groups in separate compartments hydraulic, power and electronic components. This allows long lasting operations, avoiding interference of any kind induced toward the control system. Access to any component is also easy and intuitive accessing all components allowing quick and convenient maintenance.

On board electronics

Believing in an open approach and in order to offer good customer service, components used are all commercial products making spare parts easily obtainable:

  • Navigation laser scanner with passive reflectors;
  • On board industrial PC;
  • 4Q drivers for the steering and drive motors with energy recovery;
  • Incremental encoders on the drive and steering motors;
  • Radio modem homologated in the UHF range, for connection to the stationary PC for supervision and traffic control;
  • Manual controls performed using a joystick on a push button control panel that can be installed;
  • Multi-function display for diagnosing and setting the parameters of the vehicle.

Control software

The on board software has been designed and developed entirely by Nuova Fima. It is totally compatible and can operate regardless of:

  • The type of vehicle and the type of missions to be carried out;
  • The type of navigation transducer used;
  • The layout in which it will operate.

The map of the distribution nodes and branches is sent to the software by the management system on the ground each time there is a variation of the map itself.
